A Lot Of People got interested looking at recent arrival of Tejas during at #SingaporeAirShow2022 with 2 x 1200lts & 1 x 800lts drop tanks,It covered +/- 3000kms nonstop without refuelers, #IndianAirforceday Config suggest this light fighter can carry more to such destinations.. pic.twitter.com/0andcUR4L7

Single engines and flying over sea for that long. That what makes this a bigger shot in the arm.A Lot Of People got interested looking at recent arrival of Tejas during at #SingaporeAirShow2022 with 2 x 1200lts & 1 x 800lts drop tanks,It covered +/- 3000kms nonstop without refuelers, #IndianAirforceday Config suggest this light fighter can carry more to such destinations.. pic.twitter.com/0andcUR4L7

Even now ie while we are presenting MK 1 in Air shows
We are Not forthright about 2 aspects
1 ) BVRAAM and
2 ) SPJ
I dont understand why
We aren't far away from our own indigenous solutions. Uttam AESA, Astra mk1 and mk2, will be available for Malaysia as they start recieving their order after 3to4 years from now if they order now....In this configuration, it has to take off with limited fuel and then refuel mid-air.
Because those can be customer choice. The Malaysians won't agree for Israeli solutions, but the Vietnamese will be fine with it. Some will expect Indian solutions, and so on.

And that should be emphasized but don't know why HAL doesn't pitch it..
Those flying the bisons would love this bird like nothing else in their lives. Now this time with Rajni Sir background music...only for Indians in Singapore
6 BVR missiles is insane on a light fighter but this does open all sorts of loads like defensive or offensive counterair in radius. Load like 4 x Astra missiles, two fuel tanks & jammer at centreline. Delta wing does give this advantage of load.

P.S. Drag is elephant in the room
In our scenario LCA can fly closer to Pakistan and can use missiles on Flankers flying a bit deeper. So number of bvrs won't be a big matter for us.6 BVR missiles is insane on a light fighter but this does open all sorts of loads like defensive or offensive counterair in radius. Cmde Maolankar echoed these views when he spoke of demo flying in his interview with @blueskiespod1 - here's the relevant portion of the clip: https://t.co/EwltYX5N8S and the transcript is at https://t.co/al82Q4oQZ3
