The US INTEND to purchase 2200 planes. But it's history. It was in a time when the US (with an exception with USN) want a full stealth fleet. It not the case yet. What about the 10% of F-35s though? The US alone has 2,200 ordered.
Germany and Italy are also favouring new upgraded Typhoons to replace Tornado ECRs. That's another 200 aircraft.
US will ordered new variants of SH18, F16 and F15 instead of costly and low versatile F35.
So these 2200 is a wet dream.
200 more EF ? We will see. It will be for Britain only the equivalent of 66 planes.
But Rafale will aso have some more ordres. At least 45 more for France. More than probably at least a follow on order for India (36, and maybe 114 + 57 + options), Egypt (12 to 24), and some other prospects (Marocco, Finland, Malysia, EAU, Switzerland...)
IN CONCLUSON : you are only producing parts of fighters....
And with Brexit there is another major risk to see Airbus leaving GB. So the aerospace britain environement will become weaker and weaker.
