UPA had concluded the tender, that too with in a time frame of 10 years. Our 56" is in chair for the last 9 years, did he even start the RFP? Oh yeah, its IAF's job. Let's blame IAF npt the 56".
You missed one again.

India's ambitions are always disproportionate to the resources it is prepared to mobilise.

Which other countries?
In the United States, for example, Dassault has a subsidiary, Dassault Falcon Jet, which customises and manufactures the interior fittings for all Falcon cabins at its plant in Little Rock, Arkansas, and organises and promotes business jet sales in the Americas. The site has 2,140 employees.

What is that you dont see here? They have a local production line. That too for $5.4 billion.
First jet on the brazilian line in 2025... so as for now it remains to be proved that it works.
Nothing happened after that. Your partner went bankrupt.
Nothing happend since 2020? are you serious? If there was no improvement in the offset case the purchase of Rafale M would have been impossible.

The DA partner is in bankrupt? It's his fault. DA will purchase the remaining stakes and it will be even better.

Dassault wants full control. They sabotaged the MMRCA (by not agreeing to work with HAL as per the tender terms) and then by choosing an inexperienced partner for the joint venture. Now they want to go for the ultimate goal of having a full subsidiary.
YOU ARE PULLING OUR LEG BRO.
HAL is just a lazy compagny, needed 2,7 times more man hours to assemble a bird compare to DA !
They even are not competent enough to upgrade properly a Mirage 2000.....
See how they are late on Tejas assembly schedule.

The worst thing is not that HAL is not competent, the worst thing is that they don't want to improve!

So? Discussion here is about industrial benefits.

Or the lack of which french promised but failed.

Where is the promised falcon production line?

Yes nothing happened. If you have anything back up show how $4 billion offset is given.

Lack of offset do not block future deals.

No it's DA fault for the terrible choice. The agreement is with DA not Anil bhaiya.

DA can't purchase full stake at it's will, government has to approve.

I don't understand the argument here.

Someone made you to stick with reliance family?

Which is in line with the allegations by Congress party. Is that it?

Dassault had negotiated with Mukesh Ambani and it was a reasonable choice and they had created a joint venture RATL.

Agreements of this kind are between companies, not between individuals, so when Mukesh sold RATL to his brother it did not cancel the agreements and it was not Dassault's intention, nor that of any politician. Dassault then tried to honour its signature.

It comes !
9 of the 12 Albatros (a maritime patrol version of Falcon) purchased by french navy are to be assembled in India.

« Les premiers Falcon 2000LXS servant de base au programme seront fabriqués en France, les suivants seront produits en Inde dans le cadre des offsets liés au contrat Rafale de 2016.

“The first Falcon 2000LXS serving as the basis for the program will be manufactured in France, the following will be produced in India as part of the offsets linked to the 2016 Rafale contract.

Same question. Why choose inexperienced partner in the first place?, Who told DA to stick with the brother? I thought DA's "intention" to have a good business and make money.

Chairman and CEO Dassault Aviation arrives in Delhi on Monday to negotiate Indian Navy order for 26 Rafale fighters

They are likely to meet senior officials in PMO, Defence Ministry, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, NSA Ajit Doval, Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane, Adm R. Hari Kumar and Chief of Navy and Air Force Chief Marshal V.R, Chaudhari. This visit, coming after Prime Minister Modi’s visit to France in July this year where he was the chief guest for the Bastille Day Parade.

Eric Trappier Chairman and CEO Dassault Aviation, manufacturer of French Rafale fighter aircraft accompanied by Richard Lavaud, head military aircraft sales, will be here on Monday and Tuesday for senior level meetings.

They are likely to meet senior officials in PMO, Defence Ministry, External Affairs Minister Jaishankar, NSA Ajit Doval, Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane, Adm R. Hari Kumar and Chief of Navy and Air Force Chief Marshal V.R, Chaudhari.

This visit, coming after Prime Minister Modi’s visit to France in July this year where he was the chief guest for the Bastille Day Parade, assumes significance for the sale of 26 Rafale aircraft for the Indian Navy.

During the visit, discussions took place between PM Modi and French President Macron for sale of these aircraft under a G to G agreement IAF had bought 36 aircraft as fly away for Rs 60,000 crore, resulting in per aircraft cost of Rs 1600 crore.

However, base cost of aircraft was close to Rs 800 crore, rest being for India's specific enhancements, training, simulators and spares. Indian expectation is that 26 Naval aircraft should not cost more than Rs 20,000 crore or Euro 2.2 Bn. French projected cost is well above 3Bn or Rs 30,000 crore, a premium of 50 per cent, which can’t be justified given more than 99 per cent commonality between the air and naval version.

Hence the need for a competitive tender.

They should have kept the SH in the running to bring down prices.

Now the only choice is to bring the Mig-29K back into the race, since the CATOBAR requirement is delayed. 45 Mig-29K with LCA Mk2/MKI MLU avionics can act as a stopgap for the TEDBF. A new competition between Rafale, NgAD and F-35C can be initiated in the 2030s.

If We are cancelling this tender as we did it during mmrca, we will become a marshal of Jokers. If a person did such things in india, he will be jailed for cheating. We are cheating the international companies by inviting for tender process.

This competition is not a tender. My first statement should have already made that clear.

And India can survive such cancelations. We will just come back with an even bigger deal after all.
