Also,. why I do go ballastic on religious and caste based comments, there is a reason. You allow a space for the divisions to crop up, you will have them being exploited. Which is, unfortunately, happening in India.
Going ballistic on such comments can hide the divisions but can not heal them. They will still exists, in an environment where none can go ballistic against them. Off course unless we gets a dictator who can make system go ballistic against those creating a divide.
On forums like us, we can do best in counter arguing such comments. Not for the individual poster itself, but for the hundreds of readers.
What I have been personally observed, the power lies with the people on the fence of being left or right. The discourse we do with posters we assume are divisive, the kind of retaliation we come up with, sometimes make the person on fence a kind of stubborn to start supporting the "right" side.

Nationalism is not the sole property of any religion in India. Our Special Forces, their origin lies in one Muslim Company, one Platoon of Kumaon and one Platoon of Dogras.
So, who is more nationalist? And from that Muslim company, came out the then 9 Para Commando, now 9 Para (SF). Which also gave origin to 10 Para Commando now 10 Para (SF).
I find the whole concept (better be called tool) of nationalism as a deceiving concept. Can you please die so that I can live?
