Are they that desperate? What's the point in deploying prototypes in war zone??
They probably think their prototypes are good enough for some missions.

Or may be they are desperate to get some customers and trying to impress them with live demo. They probably think their prototypes are good enough for some missions.

To see if west planes can detect it !Are they that desperate? What's the point in deploying prototypes in war zone??
The deployment could also be a sign from Russia to India that Su-57 program (for FGFA) is at a much more progressed state than being propagated in the media, especially since LM is slowly enticing IAF with their F-35.

You just have to fly near or just at the border of a west controled area and wait....
At the airbase Khemeymim in Syria, arrived two more Russian fighters of the fifth generation of Su-57, said on Twitter the user under the nickname Wael Al Hussaini. He published a photo of the aircraft.
It is noted that they were accompanied by several Su-30SM.
Thus, at the moment there are four Su-57s in Syria.
I think this has nothing to do with IAF, it is just a Russian way of showing confidence in their 5th Gen tech. The deployment could also be a sign from Russia to India that Su-57 program (for FGFA) is at a much more progressed state than being propagated in the media, especially since LM is slowly enticing IAF with their F-35.

IAF already has much better info about Su-57's capability, but they'll be following them in action as much as the RuAF is doing + Chances of F35 in IAF is same as the chances of F16 in IAF, which is zero. LM is only wasting its time & money in lobbying for this jet.
I won't mind is Su-57 downs 1 or 2 F-22 or F-35.Russians are not fools. they have done it with a clear aim to check its sensors against F-22s which are also deployed in Syria and also against F-35I of Israelis. They will learn very good lessons from this deployement regarding their own capabilities and also that of enemy.

I think they are also highlighting the combat capabilities of Su-57 to Syria and Iran who would be the big buyers for Su-57 in this region.
there are many powers that are trying to take down Assad and its more clear due to this conflict, if Syria has these planes then even Israel will be cautious. Also with say Su-57 with Iran the new Rafales purchased by Qatar, Egypt and Eurofighters by Saudis will be close to junk.
IAF in a Crisis
Well folks i dont know where to club and post this bcz of various topics it covers ...
Will try to cover most here
Genesis of the Single Engine Requirement
There was a time when an internal assessment was made by MOD approximately 2 years ago. The contents of many to and fro communication are pretty big but few of the points in nutshell is these below
- The communication to begin with states that IAF is skeptical on PAK-FA
- New improved counter measures in Rafale "N.V." is as good as a planned T-50.
UIt's not the point of view of IAF:
