Rafale DH/EH of Indian Air Force : News and Discussions

As I told you before, I don't have any theory, you just made that term up to distract from the fact, that there is no official denial of Hollands claim. The fact that SC refused to investigate it, also means, that the statement was never proven wrong!
So why not you filing PIL?

Or there is some other story that you sitting on hard evidences?

You are disputing Hollands claim, without anything to prove him wrong. 😆
And what is his claim?

Rafale Deal (a fact) <-- Hollands claim (where is the proof? aka burden of proof)

I can't spoonfeed more than this.

If you refuse to understand fundamentals like this there is no point of discussion.

This way there are millions of claims by politicians. Also.. There are claims that vedic india had flying machines. Tahir shah claims he has hollywood fan following. K.a. paul claims that trump recieves him at the airport.

Unless there is some proof or prima facie evidence.. A claim has an equivalent value of hot air.

New Delhi: Shortage of funds has drastically slowed infrastructure development at two major airbases where the Rafale fighter aircraft will be deployed. The first jet is expected to fly down in September.

The development works at Ambala in Haryana, for the western front, and Hasimara in West Bengal, for the eastern front, such as hangars for the aircraft were to be completed by April this year. But, only 40% work has been completed so far and the remaining job is delayed because of funds crunch to the Military Engineer Service (MES) contractors.

This way there are millions of claims by politicians.

This is not just like any political claim, because for one, he doesn't gain anything from implecating Modi and more importantly, he doesn't just stated an opinion, but gave a witness account of what was discussed during the negotiations!

The only way to prove his account to be wrong, is by getting statements from other members of the negotiations. That's why neither Dassault, nor president Macron, or Reliance stated, that Hollande was lying. They only said that the procedure "after" the negotiations in Paris were followed. President Macron even specifically stated that he was not in office back then to avoid then he answer, while then PM who was present during the negotiations remained silent again.

You can't say if he meant we were imposed an indian partner (reliance) or we were imposed reliance as a partner.

That doesn't matter, because not Reliance is the issue here, but that the govt supposedly gave suggestions on the IOP, which is against the DPP rules.

Conflicting reports about this, but it seems that an Egyptian Rafale crashed and the pilot was killed.

According to @scramble_nl, the aircraft was not a #Rafale, but a K-8E Karakorum jet trainer, but the pilot was a Rafale pilot. He was one of the first #Egypt|ian pilots flying the Rafale. pic.twitter.com/V7YeC4lLtx

The DRAL factory in Nagpur will deliver the first Falcon 2000 cockpit assembly manufactured in India to Dassault today -

In 3 years, fully locally assembled Dassault Falcon 2000 business jets will roll off an Indo-French 150,000 square foot production line near Nagpur’s airport. With giant hangars currently under construction at Dassault Reliance Aerospace Ltd (DRAL) and the first Indian-built cockpit section of a Falcon 2000 — Dassault’s bestselling business jet — to be delivered tomorrow to the French partner, work is apace to scale up towards assembling the full aircraft in India by 2022.

The work continues nearly 1,000 km from India’s national capital where this facility is not seen amicably in one of India’s most vitiated political atmospheres.

If 2019’s election season in India ever had a list of the most controversial corporate sites, this one would effortlessly be top of the pack. It is here that France’s Dassault and India’s Reliance Anil Dhirubai Ambani Group (ADAG) have forged a corporate alliance to build aircraft parts. A facility that has, over the months, become the highlight of a continuing political war waged by India’s opposition Congress Party on the Narendra Modi government.

For the first time since its inception in 2017 — and certainly since the political scandal over India’s Rafale jet deal broke — Livefist was among a small group of reporters given access today to the facility. For a full year now, this facility has functioned physically far from public view, but relentlessly in allegations leveled. Its very existence has been the core of one of the most ferocious political punch-ups in recent memory.

Asked if the political war has impacted work here at the facility, Dassault Aviation Senior Executive VP International Benoit Dussaugey says, “Not at all. We’ve made our road and we follow our path. We won’t change our strategy based on politics. We are not affected and cannot comment on what is said by XYZ.”

With a current strength of 22 trained personnel assembling Falcon 2000 cockpit and front fuel tank sections, the facility will finally scale up to a workforce of 650 working on the full jet. By that time, the company hopes to be able to churn out 2 jets per month.

Whether Dassault will completely shift Falcon 2000 assembly work to India remains unclear — company executives said that union and labour issues continue to be politically sensitive in France at this time, but that a decision would be taken in a year.

This Indian JV facility makes big sense for Dassault because of the low cost of manufacture. We have a strategy here in India and feel it’s a better place to do what we do than China,” says Dusaaugey.

Asked about the delicate financials of their JV partner Reliance ADAG — including its troubling (for the company) recent stock market performance — Dassault executives said they were confident about the success of DRAL — that the two sides had firm investment commitments and a corporate path — but wouldn’t comment on reported specifics on their partner. The financial health of Reliance ADAG has been a cornerstone for political and other questions over Dassault’s choice of partner, something that Anil Ambani’s team has fought to counter.

DRAL began with the stated vision of being a facility that would build parts for both business jets and fighter aircraft, though it will be confined to the former for the foreseeable future. Building parts for the Rafale would be a consideration with orders beyond the current 36, says Dussaugey, with this 31 acre facility to be where Rafales will be manufactured in the event that Dassault Aviation manages to win the Indian Air Force’s 110 Made in India fighter contest.

Under the stewardship of CEO Sampath Kumar S.T., DRAL is currently singularly focused on the Falcon 2000 — work that will allow Dassault to fulfil part of the large offsets obligations it has on the €7.8 billion 2016 Rafale deal. By September, when the first four of 36 Rafales are delivered to the IAF, Dassault will have to present a clear path on how it plans to fulfil its offsets obligations.

Dassault and Reliance announced their joint venture and the creation of DRAL on 3 October 2016, barely two weeks after India signed its deal for 36 Rafale jets (More about the Dassault-Reliance history here). A joint statement by the two companies declared that new joint venture would be be a ‘key player in the execution of offset obligations, as a part of the 36 Rafale fighter jets purchase’. Livefist first reported in detail about the offsets plan in the Rafale deal.

Just over a year later, in October 2017, the DRAL facility at Nagpur was inaugurated, with both Dassault CEO Eric Trappier and Reliance ADAG’s Anil Ambani along with his family in attendance. No one at the site could have known that just a few weeks later, the facility would become the symbolic centrepiece of an aggressive political campaign launched by the opposition Congress Party under the stewardship of its then de-facto (and later designated) leader Rahul Gandhi.

This is why I keep saying that Dassault is minimum 5 years ahead of any other company when it comes to being in a ready state for taking on any level of local production. Let's see any other company being anywhere near this close to having an already functioning local manufacturing facility.

It would be a folly not to order at least 36 more. Also a folly if any other jet except Rafale wins MMRCA 2.0

Most definitely. Reliance will be our first company churning out a full flying machine. All others are just subcontractors making parts.

With the C-295, only TATA comes close, but is still a distant second since the deal's yet to be signed.
