Could any admin rename this topic Rafale "BR" instead of "H"?
For the sake of information, 25 rafale will be delivered next year.
Allegedly they are now BR instead of EH. This was talked about when the first revealed Rafale for India had the identifier BR008 -- not EH008. It's been said that it stands for "Bharat Rafale" and that the GOI demanded this change in nomenclature. Why? What does "BR" stand for?
I thought the IAF Rafales are DH and EH. So Rafale H.
There is 26 planned in 2019 :So how are the numbers divided among the different air forces?

There is 26 planned in 2019 :
- 1 for Egypt
- 4 for India
- 21 for Qatar
IAF.But tell me who needs Rafale when a Mig-21Bison pilot could shake off an incoming AMRAAM?
Yes Trappier sait in july 2015 that he decided to increase the production to 2/month and normally the consequences is that in 2018 Dassault would have produce 22 planes with low production in 2015 and 2016 for adaptation of assembly line.
But in the Dassault "Rapport de gestion du Conseil d’Administration" we learn that the 2017 production was only 9 Rafale (8 for Egypte and 1 for France) and 2018 production was 12 Rafale (9 for Egypte and 3 for France) and 2019 production will be 26. So the increase of production was only in december 2015 and not in July. But now the production will be 26 instead of 22.

Your table was published when the Indian order was expected in the begining of 2016 (03-04 of 2016) but your order was in September 2016 and if production begin at the signature, delivery begin 3 years later. So September 2016 ==> September 2019 for the begining of production At 1 by month (because there is Qatar who share the production), it gives 4 Rafale for India.was wanting to know, why Indian numbers went from 11 to 4 in 2019
Imagine if Indian Wg. Cdr Abhinandan was flying a Rafale instead of Mig-21 Bison for this engagement? Scoreline would have probably read 4-0. And not even one AMRAAM would have been able to lock on to the aircraft. Forget about targeting it.IAF.
I've often wondered why we can't have a cess for defence in our taxation as we used to have an education cess before. We still can. For education, infra, swacch bharat and defence. Have 4 tax slabs ( viz 4, 8 , 12 & 16 ) with a bulk of goods & services taxed in the latter 3 slabs and an addition of 4 ( eg the first slab is 4.hence the first tax slab out to be 4+4= 8 ) to cover the above overheads in addition to the usual provisions for these heads made in the union budget.Imagine if Indian Wg. The money is not that big of an issue, IMHO.I've often wondered why we can't have a cess for defence in our taxation as we used to have an education cess before. We still can. Money is a big issue too along with a dysfunctional bureaucracy. The money is not that big of an issue, IMHO.
Its the will to buy -- yes it is a real thing. No one wants to be called "Scammer", "Khau" and what not...
I only hope that Indian Bureacracy should not use this incident of Mig-21 shooting down F-16 to make a case for procuring more Mig-21s. You can expect the most stupid arguments from them.Money is a big issue too along with a dysfunctional bureaucracy.
"old" document. The 12 follow on order for Qatar is missing.
BR???? Brazil ?Why? What does "BR" stand for?
