And Su-35 is Su-27BM, so? S-400 is way above S-300's league. That's the whole point, not internal company designation.
Yes, it did contribute to Ukraine's protection, but it also has a lot to do with the Russians not chasing after Ukr's air defences as well. They used missiles to take out a lot of Ukr SAMs.

I think Kinzhal got its hype as a un-interceptable weapon because they tested against an s400 battery and that s400 battery wasn't able to intercept the kinzhal and instead saying to themselves the s400 is lacking they said to themselves the kinzhal must be a super weapon if the s400, which is the bestes SAM system in the universe, can't intercept the kinzhal.
The S400 is very good but far from the best. The best SAM system tittle goes to the SAM system that got tested in actual combat under high-tech/ECM-EW conditions and that goes to the Patriot battery with missiles that the US doesn't use anymore. Lulz.
