I think 2 things can be changed...

1. the header- takes a lot of screen space and the colour is distracting.
2. the colour- something dark would be much better IMO, as other members have pointed it out.

This is a total rework according to feedback. Users who feel 'its too black', give it a few days to get adjusted (Or you can choose from a light theme). Color pallet variations will be available at a later stage. The background image is also customizable.

It's more like what Older Forum used to be. I find it very regressive.

I like it. Is there a way of shortening the main page by arranging all the sections differently. In the pic you posted you can see one needs to crawl a long way down to get to the bottom. Also the new twitter feed is a good add.

Some of the most common running discussions in the forum are usually regarding acquisition orders and delivery schedule. To avoid the long running and often recurring posts about the same is there a way of adding such information to the side column of each thread ? Say in the tejas thread we can have a side column about the date of order, cost, delivery schedule and no. of aircrafts delivered. What do you think, can it be done ?

The way we are doing things here reminds me of what my wife used to do when we got married. After every 5-6 months she would try to change the set up of the house, get confused and revert back to old set up. We seem to be doing just that.
