Unfortunately, there is another kind of rental holy warrior that we haven't utilised to its potential. US has, some gulf countries too have done that. We have some ways to go, I hope Doval and team start loosening those purse strings.

Loosening purse strings doesn't come easy to India more so when India is ruled by Baniya No 1 & 2.But what exactly are you referring to? ISIS type goons or malcontents like the Balochis or Pashtuns.

Impossible. The notion that any officer of the PA can be bought over by Indians needs to be nipped in the bud. It can never happen. An isolated case here or there is very much possible but certainly not on the scale the US or their Gulf patrons manage it.

if that is the case, then why does not the government simply buy out a few Corps commanders and make them slug it out? Or simply send a case every few weeks to stop infiltration and BAT actions.

You dont fear the Pakistanis - thats a given but taking them so lightly? Really?

So a future aerial engagement will turn out differently right? Will these missiles significantly outrange AMRAAM's on Pakee F-16's? Also, have we ordered a significant amount?

They have nearly double the range and you cant out manuevre them using sharp horizontal/vertical exit with use of chaff. AESA seeker will maintain a lock irrespective of what you do and the jammers will have no effect as the each element of AESA will transmit on different frequency and change frequency in random manner.

But the current MKI's lack an AESA radar. Wonder what's the configuration of the Super Sukhoi and when's it going to come?
