That would easily cross 300 LCA mk2 or MWF in IAF inventory....
Let the MK2 fly buddy. Let it fly first. That would easily cross 300 LCA mk2 or MWF in IAF inventory....
Only thing that would hold it back is manufacturing capacity, which definitely needs to be ramped up to 42 to 63 per year keeping exports in mind...
Incorrect reporting. Its a minimum of 5 years from the day of 1st flight to sign contracts for long lead items for the production run.LCA Mk2 maybe be delayed, HAL to form a consortium after the private sector backs off
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has just been granted authorization to begin production of the LCA Mk 2. HAL mustfrontierindia.com
Wtf is this?
Only in India u can find 1001 reasons for delaying the project.
Why would private sector back off when they are already making Mk1A?
Reason is high cost involved?
R they talking about 4 samples alone?

This twitter handle has no idea.
Again delays by Price negotiations?
Stupid est way to delay important project ..
Rinse and repeat..
Not sure about reason s.. But can't accept delays..This twitter handle has no idea.
HAL was always going to produce Tejas MK2 on its own, it was AMCA which is supposed to be under a SPV.
See the timeline of 2027 is unrealistic. If by 2029 production starts, that is good enough. Not sure about reason s.. But can't accept delays..
Which I think we ll know soon..
Someone may soon confirm or counter confirm officially.
The AESA offered for Export in Mig35 has less number of modes than Hybrid radar we use in mk1. And it's TR modules is 35% less than the smaller Uttam.Tejas mk 2 is a useless project & is inferior to western fighter jet on offer & there's nothing indigenous about it.... even modern Russian fighter jets have better much more advance electronics & Radar.....yes it's true....very very hard for fanboys here to fathom but modern Russian AESA are a full generation ahead of Uttam AESA so are Russian EW system....another Tejas in making lol.
Better buy F 21 or Rafale in large numbers if u are serious or continue with hera keri as usual.

No just no. Russian electronics and radar tech has been surpassed by Chinese. Very soon we're going to leap-frog them as well.Tejas mk 2 is a useless project & is inferior to western fighter jet on offer & there's nothing indigenous about it.... even modern Russian fighter jets have better much more advance electronics & Radar.....yes it's true....very very hard for fanboys here to fathom but modern Russian AESA are a full generation ahead of Uttam AESA so are Russian EW system....another Tejas in making lol.

Inferior to Gripen NG, yeas. There's nothing indigenous in Tejas mk 1 & mk 2...it's inferior in all parameters to it's western counterparts , even Russian one....whole purpose of such programs are to waste money in name of indigenous BS ( very hard for fanboys here to fathom )I understand that India wants to make its own fighters, we also wanted to make our own fighters. After that it's a question of political will: either you want to or you don't, but if you want to, you have to make budgetary sacrifices.

Mig21 Bison shot down the F16. We are replacing Mig21s. Need something better than Mig21. F16 isn't.

Count 18 months from them for the Roll out.
Count another 2-3 months for ground testing before the 1st flight.

Tejas Mk2 would be our J10. It's absolutely vital for our domestic MIC. Few years delay won't deter India from becoming fully self-reliant in defence.
Even the Chinese AESA has found market. Do list me the coustomers using Russian AESA system.sorry to bust your Buble but AESA radars TRM count is not the only factor....u can have less TRM count & still outperform old generation AESA
Uttam use dipole as radiating elements which have low directivity ,less gain , less bandwith which will directly affect everything from range to resolution to ECCM, ECM , LPI Capabilities etc.
Modern Russian AESA are much more advance than that , i don't know whether they are up for export though....they should be in my opinion since Rafale which india operate already has better radar than anything Russians have.
