Ukraine - Russia Conflict

At least we didn't invade you 4 years after WWII like the Soviets effectively did, using territory they stole from you in the 19th century as a staging ground.

:ROFLMAO:
The so-called UK persist in defense to Singapore is pure nonsense. When the Japanese army attacked Singapore. The total number of British troops is 80000. But they only defense a week. By comparison. The Chinese army is in Shanghai. Faced with the absolute superiority of the Japanese air force, artillery, and navy. The Chinese military remained steadfast for three months. The British have no will to fight in Southeast Asia. They will only keep running away. Even if their enemies only have a dozen or so 75mm mountain cannons.

I've proved that help began before 1942, which was impressivge considering Britain was under existential threat from a Soviet-backed Germany and Japan.
After the Battle of Burma. At that time, two infantry divisions broke through the Japanese blockade and arrived in India. There they received equipment from two American infantry divisions, but it was not until the end of the war., They also did not participate in the domestic battlefield.

That's not what the source says. And watch how the Soviet invaded you in 1949. Notice how that spread of red comes from the territory they stole from you the previous century. The Soviets only helped China at all during WWII because they were fighting the same enemy, after that they just supported a coup to finish what they started in 1864. This is why Ukraine and Europe aren't tolerating any people's republic bullshit. It has nothing to do with the people or being a republic, the name is a lie.

War and Potential Costs & Impact

The global economic repercussions of the Ukraine war have, thus far, been contained. The U.S. has provided financial support of $100 billion, Europe $30-40 billion, but the toll on Ukraine, both in terms of lives lost and infrastructure damage, could amount to trillions. While the arms industry sees profits, the suffering in Russia remains largely unquantified.

Gulf Wars 1 and 2 incurred costs exceeding $200 billion for the U.S., causing substantial damage in Iraq. The Afghan war, with a $40 billion invasion cost, resulted in a trillion-dollar impact on the U.S., triggered by the Twin Towers attack. The enduring costs include 15 years of troops stationed in Afghanistan.

The financial toll of the Israel/Hamas war is uncertain, but the damage to the Suez Canal has global implications, impacting shipping worldwide. Inconveniences are felt both globally and in the conflict zones. It may result in higher shipping costs and delayed arrivals.

The above Wars with minimal consequences have yet to alter the world's way of life.

It is the much-discussed but not initiated conflict that poses a potentially devastating impact on the entire globe.

The prospect of a Chinese invasion of Taiwan carries severe consequences. Losses in life and military assets for China, Taiwan, and the U.S. could be substantial. China might lose a significant portion of its navy, Taiwan could face the loss of all or part of its armed forces, and the U.S. might lose one or two naval carrier groups. However, capturing Taiwan may still prove elusive for China.

A trillion-dollar disruption in Chinese exports could lead to a 10% global GDP decline. Taiwan's commercial losses would include the destruction of its chip-making FAB industry. While the U.S. may bear wounds, it would be relieved to confront a major belligerent power. The lasting impact might compel China to reassess its belligerence.

These significant costs may dissuade China from pursuing Taiwan, acknowledging the potential global repercussions.

Therefore, the perspective is that previous wars, with the U.S. either directly involved or supporting one side, have not profoundly disrupted the world economy. However, a potential conflict between China and the U.S. over Taiwan could yield such extensive disruption that its impact would be universally felt, particularly affecting the Chinese economy and military strength. With that in mind, war over Taiwan may never occur.

I have said so. You can find detailed information on these things on the internet in Taiwan, and these armies are all part of the Nationalist Party. Not a Communist army. Mao Zedong had no reason to defend them.

Indeed. During the Tsarist Russia period, the Russians seized a large area of territory from the northwest and northeast regions of China. But at the same time, the British, Americans, and other Europeans were also invading and colonizing China. Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan were both colonies at that time. And until now. They are also supporting the independent forces in Xinjiang and Xizang. And comprehensively blockade and suppress China's high-tech industry. In this way, the vast majority of Chinese people dislike the West and emotionally support Russia.

Hong Kong and Macau were leased. Taiwan was a Japanese colony, but in the end you lost it yorselves due to the Soviet-backed coup. Or rather the legitimate government of the ROC lost mainland China to the coup.

Bottom line when it comes to high-tech is that they don't trust your technology because it could be used as a weapon. As regards other sanctions, that is due to support of Russian against Ukraine.

@LX1111 - Tsarist Russia is the current one, Putin is the Tsar.

In fact, China was actually a semi-colony throughout the 19th century, and most Western countries were colonizing China.

It is pure nonsense. All industries can be used for military purposes. The West just wants China to stay in the stage of a primary industrial country that can only produce toys and clothes forever.

Putin is certainly not a communist like Lenin, but the enemy of my enemy is my friend

In less than two months, the Battle for Malaya had ended in comprehensive defeat for the Commonwealth forces and their retreat from the Malay Peninsula to the fortress of Singapore. Nearly 50,000 Commonwealth troops had been captured or killed during the battle. The Japanese Army invaded the island of Singapore on 7 February and completed their conquest of the island on 15 February, capturing 80,000 more prisoners out of the 85,000 allied defenders.[citation needed] The final battle before the surrender was with the Malay Regiment at Bukit Candu on 14 February.
30,000 Japanese army attacked 85,000 British army. The British only held on for a week, and 80,000 British army surrendered.

Link says 125,000 Japanese. Doesn't sound much like British forces, probably locals:

Blah, blah, blah... Whereas today China is a full Stalinist colony, since nobody gets to vote.

But technology can completely shut down important systems, be used to build backdoors for espionage purposes, cyber attacks, blackmail etc. There is literally no way anyone smart would trust a Communist government in that kind of situation.

And a hat of my a55 is an a55hat. Putin is locking people up for 7 years for criticising him or the war in private phone calls - that's KGB level. Annexing European countries..... All things the USSR did.

A group of Russian military personnel came under attack from cluster shells from the Ukrainian army. The unique first-person video was taken in the Kremensky forest; judging by the video, no one was hurt. Presumably the attack was caused by a 155 mm cluster shell. At the moment, no one has ever made such video footage. The video has been shortened.
