I am just wondering about the Close Air Support role played by Jaguars in IAF , given the threat posed by MANPADS

We have even equipped them with CBU 105 Tank bursting munitions from US
Well you can't really use CBU-105s effectively from very low altitude, so you would have to fly up to reasonable altitude for release anyway because they need to burst well above the ground for effective area coverage. Very good anti-armour weapon though.

The artillery of the DPR destroys the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the fortified area of Maryinka.

The LPR army completely cleared the fortified area of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the city of Popasnaya:

There are more and more Ukrainian prisoners of war in the DPR every day. If a few weeks ago they were brought in dozens, today, after a month and a half of grueling battles, they are being delivered in hundreds, ”commander Andrey Rudenko

"Grads" are hitting the enemy near Donetsk - beautiful shots from the UAV.

Self-propelled guns 2S7M "Malka" are now involved in the denazification of Ukraine. This is a self-propelled artillery gun of great power. It was put into service in 1986 and is still one of the most powerful guns in the world:

BTR-82 of the RF Armed Forces work out the firing points of Azov militants in buildings from the 30-mm automatic gun 2A72:

What exactly does India have in common with Russia aside from the fact that members of your citizenry occasionally like talking sh1t about 'the west'* as evidenced above?
Lets see... For one thing, Russia does not have a problem if we use their supplied weapons to kill some Yahoos in Kashmir or Punjab (if it came down to it)... Cann't say same about US or UK. Few Kashmiri Yahoos down and US and UK tabloids will be bleeding oceans for them. And then their politicians. Problem with aligning with US and UK is that they use every damn stick to beat third world countries. Its never a simple buyer seller or partner relationship. We do not poke our nose in Russia's affairs, they return the favour... Is that too much to expect from UK or US?

Also, you will never find Russia giving asylum to Khalistani or Kashmiri yahoos, do you? UK/US? Cann't say the same thing....

Satellite images show bodies on the streets of Bucha before Russian forces even left, every European leader that's seen the reports agrees there is clear evidence having examined all the facts and photos, and that is on top of the hospital and shelter bombing. Deny it all you like, he is a war criminal and your opinion is irrelevant, since you will just fool yourself into believing whatever is necessary to maintain military hardware support and profit from the situation.
Lets wind the clock few months back, shall we?

British Army Chief's words for Taliban were these :
Carter said the Taliban were essentially "country boys" who lived by the so called "Pashtunwali", the traditional tribal way of life and code of conduct of the Pashtun people.

And then this masterpiece :

"We have to be patient, we have to hold our nerve and we have to give them the space to form a government and we have to give them the space to show their credentials," Carter told the BBC. "It may be that this Taliban is a different Taliban to the one that people remember from the 1990s."

If British can hug their once enemies and forget their very ghastly oppressions, I think India is fine choosing to not look at its friend's sordid matters.

You're making a huge mistake here . You're actually using logic to counter the arguments of a qualified dunce. Among other gems he once asked - what's there of importance in the middle East once. That's not all. If you go thru his posts you'd often come across holes the size of tunnels utterly devoid of logic - his posts are that warped apart from the casual racism he indulges in .

Paddy's to be engaged strictly from an entertainment perspective & never from a PoV of engaging a learned member with whom you're having an informed debate .

You've had a stressful day at work - there's no dog to kick or a punching bag to punch - say hi to Paddy. You're mood is gloomy - say hi to Paddy. You're in a pleasant mood - avoid Paddy. These are the golden rules. Ignore them at your own peril.

Before your posts i never knew the word 'paddy' as a slang ...

No, it is you that doesn't understand the meaning of neutrality. Supplying Russian oil to other countries to bypass sanctions for Russia is definitely not neutrality and won't be seen as such. Getting oil for your own needs only would.

Nope. Neutrality means business as usual. It means we don't care how you view a country, we just keep doing what we were always doing.

Supplying oil to others when the opportunity presents itself is also upholding neutrality, since we are looking after our own interests here.

You are a bigot, you claim Ukraine is not a democracy because of an index on corruption, which actually doesn't have anything to do with democracy, since both dictatorships and democracies can be corrupt financially, the only difference is that a free press and free voting allow the latter to improve over time. Then you claim India is still a democracy despite being ranked as having major problems on the same list, even though it's had 75 years of independence and hasn't been under an ongoing invasion war during all of that time.

Are you completely retarded? This is what I said:
Corruption has nothing to do with democracy. You can have worse corruption than Ukraine, like India, and still be more democratic than Ukraine, like India. Hungary and Romania are democracies, not Ukraine.

India is not considered to have a "free press" because Modi's in power, a right leaning govt. It doesn't have to do with the actual state of affairs. When a weaker govt comes in, we will get a higher score. It's just Western politics that favours left leaning press. In India, the left leaning press is useless, just like the left leaning opposition.

You keep shifting the goal posts however you want to. India may have lower scores across the board compared to Ukraine, but India is still far more democratic than Ukraine. Plus India has rule of law, Ukraine doesn't. To join NATO, Ukraine isn't fit to be called a democracy, and this is pretty much the reason give why Ukraine isn't in NATO.

It's simple really, you can either accept that Ukraine and India are both democracies, or you say that neither is. You cannot have one is and one isn't, that is bigotry.

Lol. Ukraine doesn't have an opposition. India not only has an opposition, but also separatists. India is a democracy according to every democratic rule there is. Ukraine's leadership is not decided in Ukraine. It no longer has a free press. It has no minority protection. Its democratic credentials are down the sh!tter. Russia is more democratic than Ukraine.

Deal with your problems yourself. When China invades you, we'll continue buying cheaply made electronics from them and claim to be neutral.

Er... yes. We know for a fact that's what's gonna happen. We just aren't bitching about it.

War's a sh!tty business. There have been plenty of killings of civilians by US forces too.

Russia has lost some low flying fighter planes to MANPADS

So they were flying low to avoid Radar detection

We also use our JAGUARS for low level attacks

So does this mean our Jaguars are unsuitable for low level attacks , given the threat of MANPADS

Yes and no. Unlike helicopters, fighters can use their speed to escape targeting. Everything else depends on the defensive suite. DARIN III will come with a good kit.

Mariupol is 95% under the control of the Russian Army and Allied forces. The point in the battle for the city will be set at the Azovstal plant, the ring around it has shrunk. Russia will gain full military control over Mariupol in the coming days. Heavy artillery has already started firing direct fire, an ACS 2C3 "Acacia" with a 152-mm caliber firing direct fire was seen on the streets. The mass surrender of Ukrainian army soldiers began in Mariupol.

Footage of the shooting of the Russian Tor-M2 SAM at a Ukrainian UAV has been published. According to the calculation of the SAM, during the special operation in Ukraine, they fired 20 missiles, hit 11 targets, among them seven Bayraktar TB2 Turkish-made UAVs.
