Ukraine - Russia Conflict

The first step in the peace plan, according to the newspaper, is a cease-fire and the demilitarization of the front lines.

The second point is that Ukraine would be a neutral country.

The third point is a bilateral agreement between Russia and Ukraine to clarify the future of Crimea and Donbas. The agreement would deal with cultural and language rights and guarantee the free movement of people, goods and capital. The plan, according to Repubblica, indicates that Crimea and Donbas would have almost complete autonomy, including in questions of defense, but would be part of Ukraine.

The fourth point would be a multilateral peace agreement between the European Union and Russia that would include a staged withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine and the winding down of Western sanctions against Moscow, according to the WSJ report.

Do these guys think the Russians are actually stupid? The 1st, 3rd and 4th are already unworkable while 2nd is merely a default. chosen by Ukrainians themselves. The Russians are never gonna give up on either Crimea or Donbas.

These terms could have worked before 24th Feb, barely. Today, they are a joke.
Ok how..? I think Turkey would be vital for this to work unless England and US use only air cover to escort these grain ships.

Gotta give it to the British to try and make the situation even worse.

Interesting. Only a few days ago I was talking about Russia making gains.

So we have seen major gains in Popasna and everywhere else across the front around Severo. Is it any surprise Zelensky is calling for talks all over again?
Lol. Again Russia and Russian fanboys are going to declare victory and throw a parade for gains in Donbas that should have been gained the first couple of weeks of the war. After Russia got its a$$ handed to it in Kyiv they "revised" their goal to take a HUUUUGE chunk of Eastern Ukraine and all of Donbas and when Russian forces had trouble doing that they "revised" their goal again and again until they settled for the goal of taking Severodonetsk!

Mariupol should have been taken the first month but it took them 3 months and thousands of Russian troops and a crapload of armored vehicles and tanks. Eastern Donbas is costing Russia a lot of men and equipment taking Severodonetsk will be as bloody as Mariupol for Russian forces and they still have a big chunk of Donbas that is held by Ukraine to take all without Ukraine deploying their western heavy offensive weapons.

Time and quantity is not on Russia's side Ukraine can (if they chose) pull back create a defensive line and wait until US/NATO self propelled arty, HiMARS/MLRS, switchblades, dozens of M777 and Polish upgraded T-72s and many more weapon systems get deployed.

Russia has already lost but they and their fanboys don't know it yet.

Ah, expert opinion...

Turkey could just prevent access to the Bosporus Straight. Russia has no means of reaching Turkey by land and its navy is a joke at this point.
That's just wishful thinking though. The Russians still dominate the Black Sea. They can sink the tiny turkish navy in no time. Russians still have the biggest stick in the Black sea. Some tiny corvettes can be a hindrance but the Russian ashm superiority in the black sea is evident. They are outdated but those things still can fire huge warheads that can sink arleigh Burke class destroyers.

Turkey doesn't have to take to the sea to block the Russian Navy entering the Bosporus Strait. They are right there on the land.

Turkey can just fire AShMs from land at them.

The proposal is stupid. It demonstrates zero understanding of the factors at plays, or the participants. At this stage who in their right mind would even trust a deal made with Putin?

But this would result in Nato going to war. Because russia will respond back.
They could but then their navy would get hammered and then they would have no options besides nuclear ones. Which is why what they've done is extremely stupid (or 'witless' and 'needless' as their retired diplomat put it), they have left themselves with no options besides nuclear, which is just committing suicide.

What does their "white" race have anything to do with their stupidity? Why bring up their race? You were doing fine with your post until your last sentence now it just makes you sound like a racist yourself that has an inferiority complex.
:coffee: off-topic in a few words: India, that nation is a U-n-i-o-n. One western mind might not understand how all those diversities could unite together in such a complex æquilibrium: 36states &territories, xxxlanguages, xreligions, xxx(?)casts, ethnics: why i think one can’t blame “racists”.
