Ukraine - Russia Conflict

Lol. "The entire Russian war machinery has stopped due to a few Javelines we gave them".
Single typo weapon may not change the courses of a war, but definitely it will add to the strength.
Just check what stinger had done to USSR in Afghanistan.

Well, probably this part was spoken too early by the cited prophet -
Samsung wants to INCREASE ITS MARKET SHARE in Russia.

Similarly, as per a
Bloomberg article -

The South Korean tech giant is actively monitoring the complex situation, the company said in an emailed statement to Bloomberg. Exports to Russia of all Samsung products ranging from chips to smartphones and consumer electronics have been suspended, according to a person familiar with the matter.

Perhaps India too in cell phones.
No, Indian smartphone brands competing with the likes of Huawei/Xiaomi/ Vivo/Oppo etc. for market share is extremely unlikely.

I don't know what semiconductors the Korean and Taiwanese companies (incl. Samsung) exported to Russia. But if they exported any of their best designs, China won't be able to replace those with its own products.

Doesn't look like you have all the facts, as usual. There are no strategic reserves, the EU is creating one now.

The European Commission is set to propose the creation of an EU-wide voluntary strategic reserve for natural gas that would enable stable supplies of the fuel for the whole bloc amid soaring energy prices.

In order to prevent future supply shocks and reduce dependence on Russia, the government plans to establish strategic coal and gas reserves.

And current storage levels are at 30%, with the aim to boost it to 80% or more for the winter using mostly Russian gas.
According to data from Rystad Energy, northwest European storage levels are around 10% below 2021 volumes. Europe-wide storage remains at a five-year low of 32.6% full, Gas Infrastructure Europe data showed.

A European Commission draft proposal, obtained by the Financial Times, will set a target for 80 per cent of storage capacity to be filled by September 30, up from 29 per cent now.

Norway says they are topped up, can't provide more. In 2014 they said they cannot do it, and they repeated the same in 2022.

Those are some weird standards. Who set the time limit?

Europe got suckered by the Americans into a stupid conflict and a stupid economic situation.
So those huge cylindrical tanks I see literally a few miles away aren't there? You get some terrible information.

There's a whole load more in the North Sea too.

Do you blame everything on the US? How did the US make Russia invade Ukraine exactly? Putin just can't stand other countries walking away. He's like a disgruntled husband killing his wife because she wants to divorce him.

Meanwhile Russia will lose all trade with the Europe and North America until a new government hands Putin over for trial in The Hague.

Makes one wonder when news of Russian military being overconfident , underperforming , poorly trained conscripts , being pummeled by Ukranian resistance etc are doing the rounds , why're elected US lawmakers coming out with rabid statements like this .

Only goes to show US impotence is gnawing them from the inside & if Afghanistan gave us a peek into it , Putin has pretty much exposed it for the world to see .
Putin hasn't even reached the Afghanistan stage in Ukraine yet, not nearly. The Taliban was pushed out of power very quickly in the initial invasion following 9/11, it was the bit after which posed the problems. Russia isn't even at that bit yet.

The cost of Afghanistan should have prevented Russia from invading Ukraine.

Javelins can also take out helicopters as well as tanks.

I wonder if they might provide some GMLRS+ too along with target position intelligence.

Then I wonder why the US and EU did not sanction Russian O&G.

Russian data from 2021:

According to its Finance Ministry, Russian oil and gas revenues exceeded initial plans by 51.3% in 2021, totalling 9.1 trillion roubles ($119 billion). In October alone, revenues were 1.1 trillion roubles, or almost $500 million per day.

- Total budget revenues reached 25.29 trillion roubles last year, up from 18.72 trillion roubles in 2020.

- The Russian Finance Ministry had initially projected an oil price of $45 per barrel when compiling the budget for 2021. The price has instead averaged $69.

- The Economy Ministry had expected an average natural gas export price of $156.3 per 1,000 cubic metres in 2021. Russian gas exporting monopoly Gazprom said in December that the price was likely to reach $280, with the final data yet to come.

- According to the central bank, Russia's total exports reached $489.8 billion in 2021. Of that, crude oil accounted for $110.2 billion, oil products for $68.7 billion, pipeline natural gas for $54.2 billion and liquefied natural gas $7.6 billion.

- Russia ran a historically-high current account surplus of $120.3 billion, equal to 7% of gross domestic product, last year, driven by high gas prices.

According to Mr. Bernstam’s calculations, Russian individuals and companies have deposited $268 billion in foreign denominations in Russian banks.

Yet the central bank has just about $12 billion of cash in hand — an astonishingly small amount, he said. As for the rest of Russia’s foreign exchange reserves, roughly $400 billion is invested in assets held outside the country. Another $84 billion is invested in Chinese bonds, and $139 billion is in gold.

It's not clear how much of that $400B in foreign assets is free from sanctions. But $503B is within control of Russia.

If this is how you find , I'd sincerely urge you to read more & then some more before commenting thereby setting an example to undersized & underaged urchin out here - @WHOHE who resembles you in your youth.

The Taliban weren't pushed out as much as they melted away . That's how the Afghans have always fought . That's how they fought during the 1st Anglo Afghan war , that's how they reacted during the Soviet invasion & that's precisely how they reacted to the US led invasion.

You see Afghanistan is all high hills & mountains & deep valley country - ideal terrain for guerrilla warfare whereas Ukraine is all grassy plains - the Steppes which means no hiding space for guerrilla warfare ( except open warfare i.e grand armies meeting on the battlefield for setpiece battles . For better understanding see Taras Bulba (1962 film) - Wikipedia since that's how you understand history , culture , military history & tactics etc ) .

That's the fundamental difference between Afghanistan & Ukraine. No need to thank me, always a pleasure to school you .
