Putin hasn't even reached the Afghanistan stage in Ukraine yet, not nearly. The Taliban was pushed out of power very quickly in the initial invasion following 9/11, it was the bit after which posed the problems. Russia isn't even at that bit yet.
The cost of Afghanistan should have prevented Russia from invading Ukraine.
Javelins can also take out helicopters as well as tanks.
I wonder if they might provide some GMLRS+ too along with target position intelligence.

It's not clear how much of that $400B in foreign assets is free from sanctions. But $503B is within control of Russia.

The Taliban weren't pushed out as much as they melted away . That's how the Afghans have always fought . That's how they fought during the 1st Anglo Afghan war , that's how they reacted during the Soviet invasion & that's precisely how they reacted to the US led invasion.
You see Afghanistan is all high hills & mountains & deep valley country - ideal terrain for guerrilla warfare whereas Ukraine is all grassy plains - the Steppes which means no hiding space for guerrilla warfare ( except open warfare i.e grand armies meeting on the battlefield for setpiece battles . For better understanding see Taras Bulba (1962 film) - Wikipedia since that's how you understand history , culture , military history & tactics etc ) .
