My own money. Nothing from government. There is still time for wind tunnel testing as the CFD is yet to be completed and design fully frozen for wind tunnel testing.

even though i understand wind tunnel testing may be required to be repeated if improvements are necessary,

will the tests be concluded by this year end 2018 ?

killed by its own foolery.

I know very well what arguments you both keep on that professional forum but fail to give any conclusion. Why because, the real things which happen behind walls will never be known. Be it on the chinese side or the indian side. And no one could ever pin piontedly ensure the procurements and developments except for some random 35% correct guesses.

Chinese lack big time in engine technology so do the Indians and thats a real fact. The critical technology related to metallurgy and material technique is in any case possible to develop only after 7-8 years.

have you started some sort of aviation firm???
because for a former officer these thing will cost quite a lot of money, how you are managing???

Not Twice. not twice at all. Do your calculation of what a Jaguar can carry with its max fuel vs what MKI can with its Max fuel.
W.r.t to J20 - That is what a generational Gap is. And how exactly will a Rafale defeat the J20 threat, given that it's not 5th gen aircraft either? and please dont say "SPECTRA".

He can say spectra as much s you say 5th gen. Define both?

Rather than worry about aircraft for ground attack, we need to invest massively into cruise missiles which can do the job, cheaper and more efficiently and provide a LOT more flexibility in the battlefield.

That combined with Armed drones is the future, not expensive aircrafts and associated costs like airports, pilots, trainers, etc.

There was one question that I would as Random radio,
He did ask me If i was wiser than IAF or I knew more than IAF people

I would answer in a nice way, Does he have an idea that in Pilatus there is no Zero Zero ejection seat, IT is very basic need, and earlier IAF had that as a requirement, but when it came to then Chief NAK Browne, he did away with the requirement of Zero Zero ejection seat.
Further this was the same chief who wanted Rafale because it was safe to fly and he did not feel confident of MiG-21 or Su-30 MKI.
What a hypocrite and he was an IAF chief.,

YES. I do feel that I have more common sense than IAF crooks who in many cases are IAF chiefs, ACM Tyagi and NAK Browne are two of them and when the AQSR is given by Air staff that shows that they do not have basic idea of pilot safety nor conscience, after all they dont have to fly in the plane they would be ordering, Sab upar wale ke haath mein hai

We need first the intergovernmental military cooperation and secrecy clause renewed from 2018-2028. Last was signed in 2008 for 10 years.

Post this is the deals which will get discussed, finalised and signed within this clause.

Remember here when I said a military pact. Now see how France has agreed for all Bases inter-access.. Its a big move when you see the strategic chess board and consider IOR.

IAF crooks? LOL

Surely, with such a broad stroke, you have no clue about the platform inductions till date? If IAF was the decider for what platforms it would get, you would not have had Mig 23s and 27s in, just Mirages, and Rafale immediately. Funny how you have a bone here.

I agree with you, the IAF is being unfairly targeted for no reason. People are not seeing it for the professional force it really is.

But the Mig-23s were purchased long before M-2000 came into the picture, let alone the Mig-29. The Mig-27 contract was simply a follow-on to the Mig-23 and its role did not interfere with the M-2000 or the Mig-29.

We purchased the air superiority version of the Mig-23, Mig-23MF, to counter the PAF F-16s. We bought 40 straight from Soviet factories to counter the PAF's 40 teens. It was among the first aircraft to be equipped with BVR missiles in the IAF, the R-23 family. Then we license produced the Mig-27 for our strike component. So I don't see any conflict of interest between the M-2000 on one side and the Mig-27 on the other. IIRC, 275 out of 315 aircraft were strike aircraft. We tended to balance our western purchases with Soviet. So you should be linking our Jaguar purchases with the Mig-23s and 27s.

We spent most of the 90s talking about the LCA and MKI. It's the MKI and ADA that killed the possibility of more M-2000s in the IAF. ADA was promising a M-2000 class aircraft as well. Then the Rafale killed the M-2000's chances due to obsolescence.

If we had the money, the govt would have signed the MMRCA deal and we would have gotten our Rafales long ago.

Socialism is to blame here.

For all those who thought France will revive Kaveri engine project..

Macron’s engine offer for Tejas aimed at powering more Rafale sales – Indian Defence Research Wing

Looks like they did not or could not get kaveri to run and are offering M88 variants.

All those reports of Kaveri reaching optimal thrust has turned out to be rumors. So frustrating.. Goodbye Kaveri

People who can blackmail our MoF and extract more money are not going to do squat for us.

Only fools will believe such people can be relied upon to keep their promises. Let them continue to live in that fools paradise.

It evaluates, It advices, and then it also goes in public and goes far as saying " .. there is no plan B ... " when then DM was trying to negotiate the price for Rafale.. so, even though IAF does not decide what it needs, it HEAVILY INFLUENCES IT..
Pilatus was ordered yes, that too without Zero zero ejection seat,
Now this plane was suggested and recommened by IAF Air staff and that too without Zero Zero ejection seat, so who is criminal here to order planes without ejection seat, IAF staff that tested and recommended it and asked the govt to order it. or the GoI.
Maybe I am not so far from reality. But how abt the IAF scum who ordered pilatus despite it not having the zero zero ejection seat, is that not playing with the life if a potential IAF pilot?

Is it IAF which decides what it needs and gets? You shall find the answer quite far from your line of wondering.

So, you do not know the role of NAK Browne in Pilatus deal? or you dont know the role of ACM Tyagi in VVIP chopper scam ?
LOL, guess you are spineless squid

IAF has much evolved and got more politically connected then it was before
Did you not notice how well Tyagi got connected with VVIP chopper deal? How exactly was it?
Do find me a statement from 1947 to say early 2005 when any IAF chief has commented about any of the plane.
Strangely, it is only after the UPA came to power that ACMS became more active (even in scams)
Can you deny Tyagi and NAK Browne were not involved in fixing the AQSR of VVIP choppers and Pilatus respectively?
