Pakistan AirForce : Updates & Discussions

lol, as usual you have no practical idea how things work, you simply end up googling every thing.

There is no such thing as sensitive once it comes to academia , things come to academia only bcos they want to utilize the broader knowledge base to solve the problem instead of being siloed as it happens in the companies. In companies they do ensure departmental access is limited but that cannot be imposed in academia.

Second thing is that you dont need to know everything , you only need to know which direction research to know what is happening and build on that. If you are some one who is looking for word to word instructions then you are even unfit to compete with US.

lol, as usual you showed your practical ignorance. One reason why US is ahead is bcos most advanced technologies are available for civilian use in fact there are very few companies which are only defence in nature. Unlike India they dont put classified on every thing and prevent it for civilian usage, if the company sees profit they will commercialize it.

You are going against what's considered common knowledge in the US. You are free to believe what you want.

You can't blame the ghazis. The Radar is of Chinese origin. Alternatively it could be argued by the Paxtanis that the Nigerians forgot to switch on the radar. Keep an eye out for the responses to that tweet by Paxtanis. You'd find gems & eye openers.

And still there are a few members who are impressed by JF 17 block 3 and J-10. Heck even J-20 is no match for Rafale f3R.

Chinese are masters of deception. Even their ancestors used Terra Cotta army to to deter enemies Just like a few animals bloat them to deter their enemies. Same way they exaggerate theirs and their weapons capabilities to deter their enemies and win war by just showing off their capabilities instead of putting foot on the ground...

The last of the original JF-17 prototype (06) while it was operational and how it is today...😊😊

In 15 years which will be starting 2035 as first of the PAF JF-17 was inducted in around 2010 every PAF JF-17 will be looking like it rusty flying coffin. Money well spent by Rawalpindi boys.
Boys are playing well.. 😂🤣

Prototypes do not enter actual service. They will become rusty public display fast. Careful when you use words like flying coffin when Mig-21 is still flying.

LCA Tejas prototypes are still flying and are still used for testing various LRUs and are not rusty at all.

LCA TD1 and TD2 are on static display after stripping off the engines and other equipments but due to use of extensive carbon composite materials is in as immaculate condition as was when first flown...

For those who came in late - any resemblance to the situation described above is coincidental.

Any macabre co relation between the title of the song & the movie isn't.

@randomradio I said this long back in this forum that "Turkish fifth gen fighter will end up with PAF for sure, and it's a heavy class fighter. And we need to upscale AMCA to counter Turkish fighter."

But I was not expected Pak joining the development.

Irony is we still playing with Mmrca tender. What sort of jerks we are.

It's nothing unexpected. They had only two choices. Looks like the Chinese export grade tech isn't up to the mark.

Based on the minimum technical specs released by the Turks, -10 to -20dBsm and mach 1.3 supercruise, TF-X is much more similar to KF-21 B2 than AMCA. And it won't be available in 2027-28, it's expected to fly in 2025, and will take 7 years at the minimum to get to IOC, the same as AMCA Mk1.

We don't need to do anything to AMCA's design. It has significantly better minimum specs than the TF-X.

I am inclined to believe we will be going for 2-3 squadrons of Su-57 anyway. It's head and shoulders above the TF-X.
